Q Account changes, second phase

As mentioned earlier we are making changes to the Q Account system. Today we entered the second phase.

Any accounts without a valid email address set will be being locked, starting from today. If your account is locked, please /msg Q help unlock for instructions.

Update: The FAQ has been updated. Note that your unlock password is not necessarily the same as your current password, and that you have a limited number of tries to unlock.

#12 quakenet is getting better, i agree, but i must disagree with getting a nickserv. this will cause some many problems. \"omg he stole my nick, no it\'s mine, no it\'s mine, i registered it first, but you never use it, well bad luck for you then, ...\" etc etc. this network is fine as it is. the onlything it\'s missing is me as an oper. *cough*

i\'m not receiving an email from Q when i /msg Q help unlock... Then Q sais: -Q- /msg Q@CServe.quakenet.org UNLOCK user@mymailhost.xx - -Q- Unlocks a locked account, sends activation instructions to supplied email address. Is this normal?

#13: by using \"help\", you obviously get the info about using the \"unlock\" command. In order to unlock, omit the \"help\". And please ask your questions in the forums because this is a commentinf feature, not a support thread. ;)

dosa, there will be no nickserve on qnet. we believe it could be abused much more than used. you can see the discussion about this on our forum.
