Netsplits, general wierdness and <strike>80k</strike>81k -

Posted by cro on Sunday 10 March 2002

If you're a regular user of QuakeNet you've probably noticed some extended netsplits going on today. We have been experiencing some problems with one of our primary hubs and have had to make changes in the way all the servers are linked together. Anyway, the problems have been resolved and everything is ticking along nicely now.

On another, related note, despite all the problem during the day, QuakeNet managed to break the 80,000 user barrier today. Visit our historical maxusers page to see how usage has grown over the past few months, and take a moment to congratulate yourselves for helping make QuakeNet what it is.
