QuakeNet website problems

There have been some problems with the QuakeNet website over the past week. Most of these issues have now been resolved however, the L request and other interactive services on the website are still down.

You can rest assured we are aware of the problems and are working to resolve them, but this may take some time. There will be an updated news post when the website is fixed.

Plz consider this. These guys provides us with thes great thing called mIRC: When there is a little bit wrong wiht anything most people just go on whining and even become rude. #50 is soo right... The L bot service along with Q and S, is a _FREE_ service that Qnet is so kind to give us.. We do not pay them sh!t, so therefore we cannot expect this to take 1, maybe 2 seconds to fix... Qnet staff is probably banging their heads against the keyboard in frustration sometimes.. I would too, with all this whining..

I think Quakenet is so big, that it is allowed to have some problems sometimes ;>, Its no problem 4 me 2 w8!!! This is a try to help all those who need L: If you only want to get sure that the channel would not get other ops, try to find someone you trust and with a bnc ;) It would not get disconnected and can safe the channel for you.

All of you people moaning about L and Q request page should calm down. Firstly I really need L too but complaining about it won\'t make things better! Also note that Quakenet host al this stuff, server, channels and services like L and Q for FREE. Dont complain if its free. Leave them to do their part for the site. Rushing them will only make things longer mkay?

Same obviously applies to the Q-Request. Mentioning your Channel in here and asking to put L into that Channel is not gonna do anything either. Sit back, people and wait. Lame germans wouldn\'t be able to comment on the news at first sight (by just entering their auths), it would take off some database load, it would prevent spam, it would prevent \'need L in #chan plz fast\' posts, I don\'t see any disadvantages. As far as I know all users on Quakenet use the services they get for free. And as far as I know the helpers and opers dont get paid for the job they\'re doing. Whineing about \"I want L\" \"Please fix L request\" bla bla and bla... wont help. It gets up when it get UP! Be patient ffs!

Well... Its very BAD that we all can not request L or Q ... Waht about all the channel-founders? If it would be possible to request over IRC ... but nothing ... I have got a daylie overtake in my chan and i am not able to do something... if the qequest will not be back soon i will change the IRC Network... And i hope other Users will do this too... Quakenet is one of the best IRC networks but without Services it is useless

u are right... if you offer such a service like the quakenet u have to care for a good service event if it is for free! and i dont think the quakenet does only exist because someone loves us all... also the service in #feds SUCKS and if you are lucky you will get an answer on your email after 2 weeks which in 99% will say something like \"we dont offer any support for people like u\"

Look, we all _want_ L, but the fact is it\'s down and may be for sometime. There are thousands of free Eggdrops that carry the same features as L or any other IRC bot, just use one of these for now. As for the Trust requests, I also need one. Perhaps an email address good be given by Quakenet where users can send their requests? I\'m sure you\'ll resolve this ASAP, either way, can everyone PLEASE STOP WHINING, it will not help.

Just thought it would be nice of the ops actually wrote somewhere what they did to resolve the L and Q problems they have had. So that less people can complain, when they know how much work u guys put into it.

A better suggestion would be suspending the Q accounts of everyone who has requested or flamed here. As well as suspending the channels being requested from ever recieving services. They could also remove and ban services from any other channels where the flamers have +n. A little heavy handedness will soon make people respect the current system.
